Our Mission

Our primary mission is to provide an education to those children who would not normally
receive one.  We strive to give these Brazilian children the knowledge to succeed in every
day life.  Our subjects include Bible, Portuguese, English, Geography, History, Science,
Mathematics, Geometry, Arts, Physical Education, Writing, Ethics, Citizenship, Music,
Spanish, English, and History.  We are a school based in Christianity.  We teach the word
of GOD and that Jesus is Savior.  It is our belief that through Christianity and Education,
these children will become the leaders of tomorrow.  With the basics of education and the
love of Jesus, they cannot fail.  We pray that this school will be a testament to the children,
their parents, Brazil, and the world.  We praise GOD for his mercy, grace, and the
opportunity to serve him in this purpose.

“I would claim that Christian schooling is not about running or hiding from--rather it is about embracing
and pursuing the mind of Christ. It is about pursuing the real understanding of what it means to be salt
and light, about transformation by the renewing of the mind. It is about the development of fruitful
bearers of the image of Christ in a world gone bland with its salt-less-ness; a world staggering in an
abundance of darkness where the light has been all but snuffed out.”

Ken Smitherman, President of ACSI

Our school building is always open to all types of evangelism and missionary work to any
church of any Christian denomination.  As a result of the work done with the children in our
community, a Presbyterian Church was given birth in the year of 1996. Today this church
has its own building and includes 300 members and seminary students.
.
In this regard the school accepts
donations for our mission.  We depend on the grace of
God and the goodness of people on this earth to carry out our mission.  We currently use
these donations for building repairs, desks, supplies, and student scholarships (at
Gilberto Freyre).  Please visit our
photo album to see our progress.
Matthews 18:14

In the same way your Father
in heaven is not willing that
any of these little ones
should be lost.
Matthews 19:14

Jesus said, "Let the little
children come to me, and do
not hinder them, for the
kingdom of heaven belongs
to such as these.
